Evidence guide

Useful evidence.
Not more evidence.

The strongest first record is usually small, clear and connected to one possible route. Start with the public content; add sensitive material only when a reviewer asks for it.

01

Keep the original link

Save the exact public URL. A screenshot alone may not show where or when the content was published.

02

Capture the context

Include a date, platform name and concise explanation of why the content may be inaccurate, harmful or unauthorised.

03

Only share what is relevant

Redact unrelated customer, medical, financial or family information. More sensitive material does not automatically make a case stronger.

04

Do not alter evidence

Do not edit screenshots, create records or manipulate material to fit a preferred outcome.
